27/9/99-2/10/99

BEACONSFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL is delighted to combine ART and SCIENCE by being a part of the Arts-Science Fusion Exhibition for the ESA '99 Conference.

As part of the Art program, each of the classes worked in some way on a theme related to the conference. Each class first identified what was meant by Ecology, then considered the many ways in which humans, as living things, impact on our local and world environment.
The definiton we worked from was that:
"ECOLOGY IS
THE STUDY OF
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN
LIVING THINGS AND THE ENVIRONMENT"

Each class then worked within a theme to record their impressions, in the medium of their choice, to MAKE A STATEMENT.

Below is a selection of photos of the artwork on display at the Exhibition.
