2002: Chinese Year of the Horse

(Installed 8/ 01/ 2007)

DOUBLE TAKE Teaching Package and Workshop for Teachers

devised and presented by Rosemary Wallace

for the ArtEd Assoc of WA  on March 9th 2002

Based on the CRAFTWEST Exhibition : "Collector and Creator"

Creations below based on the theme of Year of the Horse 2002, were completed by the workshop participants.
Photos of the works were taken with permission of the participants so that they could be incorporated into a web page for the participants to make use of with their own students.

I have deliberately kept the images fairly large, so allow time for the initial download. Feel free to save any you wish to your own hard drive to reuse in any other format with your students.

The process used was one of select, make, spraypaint then gild with red and then gold paint. Those that look like they "haven't been finished" was a deliberate strategy to enable us to use our models as teaching aids back in the classroom so enabling students to more easily identify the recycled materials used in the construction.
