Year 3/4 Room 11- Mrs Kay

The students in Room 11 have been working with Mr Jamie Moe, a parent helper, to produce pieces of writing for publication on the school's web page.
While the Year 4's are at Sport, Jamie and Mrs Kay work with the Year 3 students on the laptops for 45 minutes. Then when the Year 4's come back they work with Jamie, while the Year 3's work with Mrs Kay on language activities for the next 45 minutes.

Term 1

Also, for one hour a week the student's work with Mrs O'Brien and other parent helpers to learn more about basic computer skills such as how to set up laptops, log onto their class settings and be able to save their work in the correct folder.
Our Theme for Term 1 is WATER 

Narratives and reports about animals that live in water

 As part of  Technology and Enterprise we also made our own Musical Instruments.  We have each created a web page as a recount of what we needed to use and how we made them.
The class has made such wonderful progress, that 10 students at a time have gone into the IEC Middle Phase 2 class one afternoon a week, to teach them how to set up the laptops properly and work in Word, so that they can also publish some of their writing.
 
 

Term 2

During Term 2 we have had another go at creating our own web pages. This time they are about all of the Different Classroom Activities we have in our classroom each week.
