There have been many splits and divisions in the Christian church, with many different denominations, having their own different ways of worshipping God.
Today, there is a strong movement toward  church unity.
 Israel
 Jesus of Nazareth (Son of God) is the Messiah or Christ promised by God in the Old Testament (the Hebrew Bible). He was born and raised a Jew.
He also chose 12 apostles to teach the gospel (good news) after his death.
Beliefs
You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength; and your neighbour as yourself. Obey the Ten Commandments.
Everyone is born with original sin. Christ arose from the dead to save sinners.
Resurection from the dead. Life everlasting in Heaven or Hell depending on how you have lived your life.

Churches - most churches have an altar to remind the people of the Last Supper when they have communion.
The cross or crucifix reminds them that Jesus died for them.
The priest or minister will read from the Bible, then during the sermon, will explain what was meant in that passage.
At home - People can just as easily pray at home or anywhere, for they believe that God is everywhere and can see and listen to them when they need him.
A mass on Sundays. People gather to pray, sing hymns and listen to the priest or minister read and explain passages from the bible. 
Confession confess your sins and receive forgiveness.
Holy Communion - sharing in the 'body and blood' of Christ.
The Lord's Prayer.

The Ten Commandments.

Rites of Passage
Birth Baptism - A blessing by the priest. The congregation promise to help support and provide for the child's Christian upbringing.
Entry to the church Holy Communion : Confirmation - Depending on the denomination, this usually happens about 12 years of age after they have done religious instruction. It is the first time they receive communion.
Marriage Traditionally, he husband and wife to be exchange vows in a church in front of a priest. Priests will also marry a couple in places other than a church, as God is believed to be every where.
Death Following the funeral service, Christians will choose to be either buried in a cemetery or cremated and later bury or scatter the ashes.
