Beaconsfield Primary School Playgrounds
(Published 15/3/2002 - Photographs and web design by students from the 2000 MAGS Year 4 and 5 students)

The funding for this Playground Project was mostly funded by the Fremantle City Council with significant contributions a from the Beaconsfield P&C in a joint effort to provide play equipment which would not only cater for our students during school hours, but also the children of the local community after school hours. Bernhard Kaiser of Natural Play Environments was first commissioned by the school in 1999 to come up with some ideas to enhance our playground environment. Bit by bit we are achieving our dreams as the equipment is installed.

The South Oval

The Wobble Walk

When I go on it I like to run to the horizontal bar in the middle and jump off.
You could also pretend it was an old, rickety bridge over a boiling cavern of lava.

The Tyres
The tyres are great fun! You can sit on a tyre as you are pushed to your liking. You can climb, run, ,jump from tyre to tyre, swing and crawl under the tyres! DON ' T push too hard or you'll fall off.
Remember BE SAFE.

 P.S. Don't pinch your hands
 on the chains!!
OUCH!!!

The Monster Slide
The coolest ride !!!
SIX Meters of fast delight. Zooming down at the speed of light,
4 seconds and the ride is over but still it's a thrilling manoeuvre,
silver metallic fun and fantastic the slide totally ROCKS!!!
The South Fort
The South Fort, is a wonderful place for adventure, thrill and excitement. The fort is a great place to climb, slide and have FUN!
Let your imagination take you out of school to where ever your adventure takes you!
These are the rope stairs, a perfect addition to the South Fort. You can climb up, down and all around like a monkey on a rampage!

You will love climbing up the net and sliding down the fireman's pole!! But remember SAFETY first!!

Climbing excercise fun and games for non rainy days! As the sand goes down the chute and into the leaning trough if you think that's not enough, you've still got the seive to put the sand through. Pull the chain put in the
sand put it through the chute and start again!!

The Junior Playground

The Boat

This is the boat in our year 1-2 playground. It is one of our newest hits. This manic children's playground features a fantastic climbing rope, periscope and a brilliant ladder that takes you from the upper deck to the lower deck.
You can stand on the deck of your trusty ship, look to the west and sail into the Indian Ocean with the help of the steering wheel to guide your trusty ship.

The periscope is fun to see where you're
going and to be a real captain!!
Ship ahoy!!
Too many captains not enough crew!!
Speak to your captain from down below with the captains phone!!

The Pre Primary Playground

Water Pump and Trough
Gurgle, gush,  spray, and rush.
Splatter, plop, sand will drop,
heaps of fun with water and sand
it's the best  thing in Pre Primary land.
No point in wasting water or electricity
when you can pump by hand so happily.
The Junior Slide Exit

Starting with the rocky climb and ending in the slippery slide,
The PP Fort is the perfect place to run, jump and hide...

.

You can jump, you can run, you can climb, you can hide,
just like the Wild West, like a cow boy you can ride.

Our Eco Friendly Pond

The pond is a wonderful addition to our pre-primrary playground. It's full of nature including tadpoles, goldfish and more. There's lots of rocks and plants for fish to hide in. The steel grid makes it perfectly safe for everyone, even the tadpoles :) It's great!

No fishing here!
