Station 10: Conservation of Water
On Science Day, we completed experiments to show how we can conserve water while brushing our teeth. In the first experiment we left the tap running and brushed our teeth. Some students found that they used up to sixteen cups of water. In the second experiment students turned the tap off while brushing their teeth. When the taps were turned off students found that they were only using one cup of water.
Students then calculated how much water they saved when they turned the water off. They then multiplied this number by the number of times they brushed their teeth in a day and in a week. Students were amazed by how much water they saved just by turning off the tap while brushing their teeth.
