Investigating liquids that are heavier and lighter than water.
First we predicted what would happen when we added different liquids to the water. We found out that
Water is more dense than oil because even when you mix them together the oil still sits on the top,
Vinegar has the same density as water because it mixes in with the water.
Syrup is more dense than water because it sat on the bottom of the container.

We then experimented by putting objects into the water.
The marble sank to the bottom,
the chalk floated on top of the syrup,
the counter floated on top of the water and
the plastic teddy floated on the oil.
We had great fun and enjoyed the day!
