TERM 1 ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE
Photos of some of the completed projects are below.

Issued on 22/2/1998 to all students and members of the Beaconsfield School Community.

SCENARIO

Suddenly, all these people are in town with money to spend and your folks decide that now is the right time to develop a new range of products to sell as souvenirs to the tourists. They are asking you for ideas as to what you think other people like you would buy and take home as a souvenir or a gift to thank the neighbours for looking after the cat.

TASK
INVESTIGATE:
Who is your target consumer?
Who has money to spend? How much might people spend on souvenirs?
What sort of souvenirs have you, your family or friends seen in shops?
What souvenirs have you or your family bought while on holidays?

DESIGN: one or more ideas that you think would sell.

MAKE up one of your designs. (This is called a prototype.)

APPRAISE: Talk to others about your ideas. Do they think they would be good sellers? Do they have any suggestions about how to improve your design ideas?
