Technology and Enterprise Water Wise Challenge 2006

The Beaconsfield Primary School Technology and Enterprise Challenge in 2006 was conducted over the July school holidays. All families were invited to participate. The challenge involved the 3 steps of planning, constructing and self-evaluation. This year the theme was ‘Water Wise.’ I was overwhelmed with the standard of the projects and would like to thank all families for participating. Each family will receive a participation certificate and a bag of goodies from the Water Corporation.

Congratulations to the Hartmann and Whaite families who have each received an Every Drop Shower Saver® for their outstanding efforts in the recent Technology and Enterprise Water Wise Challenge.

 We would like to thank Sydney inventor, Michael Stavrou for the donation of these. Fittingly, his simple paddle-like invention, which was one of the winning entries in the ABC TV’s New Inventors last year, saves the large amount of water that is usually wasted in the shower when the water is left running while soap or shampoo is applied.
